Gold Bar, Washington
The pines here
still whisper.
A quiet cabin retreat on the edge of the Cascade foothills — far enough from the noise, close enough to the trails you've been meaning to find.
About Us
A place to
slow down
Whispering Waters Cabin sits on a quiet stretch of road outside Gold Bar, where the forest closes in and the morning sounds are birds, not engines. We built this cabin for people who want a real break — not just a different bed.
Whether you're passing through the Cascade foothills or returning to something you've loved since childhood, this is a place that doesn't ask anything of you except to stay a while.
The Cabin
Rustic, but
considered
Everything you need, nothing you don't. Thoughtful details in a setting that lets the landscape do the talking.
Sleeps comfortably
Well-appointed sleeping arrangements for a small family or a pair of travelers who want space to breathe.
Full kitchen
Cook what you find. A complete kitchen with the basics — cast iron, coffee, and room on the counter.
Wood stove
Evening warmth from a real wood stove. Firewood provided — just strike a match and settle in.
Private & quiet
Set back from the road with no shared walls. Your neighbors are deer, not strangers.
Free parking
Plenty of space on-site. Pull in, unload, and leave the car where it belongs — out of sight.
Forest setting
Surrounded by mature evergreens. Windows face the trees, not the road — that's the whole point.
Surroundings
Outside your
doorstep
Gold Bar sits at the crossroads of some of Washington's most overlooked country — old logging roads, quiet lakes, and ridgeline views that don't require a permit or a permit-issue.
- Hiking and trail access throughout the Cascade foothills
- Fishing and boating on nearby lakes
- Seasonal berry picking and forest foraging
- Stargazing — the sky opens up this far out
- Small-town Gold Bar — a diner, a general store, no rush
Guest Words
What people
remember
"We came for two nights and stayed four. The silence here is the real thing — not the quiet of an empty house, but the quiet of a place that isn't trying to be anything other than what it is."
Guest from Seattle
"Perfect basecamp. We hiked every day and came back to a warm stove and a kitchen that actually had what we needed. Didn't want to leave."
